HOPE IKIRIKO RECEIVES HIS MAJESTY EZE ANDERSON OKPARA EGBULUKA; EZE IGBU UGBOBI KINGDOM II.

* As Igbu Ugbobi Presentated Their King To  The Council Chairman.

The Executive Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. (Evang) Hope O. Ikiriko, FCNA., FNES., Ph.D. on 19th April 2023, received His Majesty, Eze Anderson Okpara Egbuluka, Eze Igbu Ugbobi II at the Council Secretariat Akinima during an appreciation visit. The people of Ugbu Ugbobi Kingdom in Ahoada West Local Government Area, the kingdom officially introduced their newly elected King to the Executive Chairman of the Council.
The Executive Chairman, in his speech, appealed to the Royal Majesty to discharge his responsibilities in a transparent manner by being fair and just to his subjects. The Chairman promised to support the People Of Ugbobi in his capacity while also appealing to King  Anderson Okpara to imbibe  dialogue and consultation in all his dealings with the people.
According to the Chairman; "My heart is overwhelmed with Joy today because we are celebrating an answered prayer from God. Indeed, I'm happier because however people look at this visit, it is divine.
The Governor who is our leader and who is man of   foresight, understands that the traditional stool of any clan attracts development, honour, and dignity. So having identify that he had made sure that he also, inasmuch as he emphasizes on physical infrastructural development he has also look at other area, and to the glory of God, our area , particularly the Ugbobi is not an exception.
It is a relationship between the Council and the people of Ugbobi Kingdom, you have not Visited Hope Ikiriko, but you have visited the Chairman of Council, and it must go down in history that any body who becomes Chairman here will recon with this visit, and that is this office.
On that note, I sincerely pledge my commitment to partnering with Ugbobi people to ensure that there is no gap in terms of partnership and collaboration. Anything Ugbobi people pass through today, I am also part of it, and I will also feel it. And so  anything that is due Ugbobi people inasmuch as I will also consider other area, I will not deny you what is do you".

The Igbu Ugbobi people In an address presented by Rev. Edward Okpara Ide JP, described the role played by Hon. Hope Ikiriko as "A Dogged Role To The Stool"
According to him; "we want to also recall that, in your address to His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwor Wike, the governor of Rivers State during the commissioning of project at Odhioku Community, you passionately appealed to the governor for the recognition and classification of Ugbobi kingdom traditional chieftaincy stool. Your appeal has yielded result, and on 5 march 2022, the stool was recognized and classified to first (1st) class by the governor, Chief Barr. E.N Wike, was an eloquent testimony of your love and concern for the welfare and progress of Ugbobi people. We are indeed very grateful for your role, your dogged commitment, and persistence efforts to this recognition and classification to 1st traditional stool in the list of recognized traditional rulers in the state."
The newly elected King, His Majesty Eze Anderson Okpara Egbuluka; Eze Igbu Ugbobi II, on his part thanked the Council Chairman and the people of Ugbobi, according to him;

"They have come to thank the Chairman for his support, especially for the project he has started, and also appealed to him to use his good office to complete it.
Secondly, they have come to inform him that the people he fought for have gotten the reward, and so it is worthy to come and say thank you.

The highlight of the event was the introduction of the New King of Igbu Ugbobi kingdom and the presentation of gift items to the Executive Chairman in an entertaining manner. 
In attendance were the Igbu Ugbobi Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs,Youth Leaders, Women Groups, Religious Leaders, Captains of Industries, Civil Organizations and Political Class.
